I made this wine from grapes ripened in the vineyard of my biodynamic winery in the countryside of Cortona.
The winery’s ethics, the total absence of correctives, and the crushing the old-fashioned way, with the feet, make this wine a true mirror of my grapes in this vintage. This Syrah was made from grapes ripened “at the apex” of the de’ Canonici vineyard. Aged for two and a half years in bottle, it is produced only in vintages that we consider exceptional, which is why it represents our “family silverware.”
